Detections of inflowing gas from narrow absorption lines at parsec scales

The detection of inflows at the scale dusty torus and smaller is crucial for investigating process supermassive black hole (SMBH) accretion. However, only a few cases inflowing gas small scales have been reported through redshifted broad absorption lines so far. Here we report nine narrow (NALs) Mg + ions with speeds 1071–1979 km s −1 , which are likely along directions close to axes accretion disks. quasars showing II NALs have, on average, slightly Eddington ratios than sources outflowing NALs. upper limits locations detected parsec scale, that is, distance from tori their central SMBHs. One possible origin these infalling tori. could also be naturally explained by chaotic cold resulting nonlinear interaction active galactic nucleus (AGN) jets interstellar medium (ISM), gaseous blobs may originally precipitate in metal-rich trailing outflows uplifted AGN jet ejecta. therefore provide direct evidence precipitation feedback processes, quasar scale. Regardless whether or ISM, cannot sufficient fuel power quasars.
